This class will cover: introduction to the obstacles, one jump skills, beginning sequencing, gaining independence, and will help students create a dog who will be able to handle the pressures of trialing. Whether your dog is an energetic puppy or a calmer, older dog, agility is a great way to bond with your dog and have fun using positive reinforcement methods. Dogs all must be physically sound in order to participate. Humans must bring a 6 foot leash, flat collar or harness, lots of treats, and other reinforcers.

6 weeks $165
This class is for puppies under 5 months of age. You will learn intro to place, sit, down, stay, and heel. The following topics will be covered in class too: potty training, how to handle nipping, jumping, barking, and all the wonderful things puppies do at this age.

This class is taken after Puppy Kindgergarten and establishes a strong foundation in obedience with rewards and some corrections. The focus of this class is to prepare for higher levels of obedience and understanding of training your dog.

For dogs 6 months and older, intro to obedience: sit, down, stay, easy walking, and place.

6 weeks $165
For puppies 6 months and older. This class is for dogs that have passed Intro to Obedience or with approval from instructor. In this class you will begin phasing out rewards, introducing corrections, and learning heel, stand stay, sit/down in motion, and much more.

This 4 week course is taught off-site. The location will always be within 30 minutes from our Marengo facility. Location can change depending on weather and students will be notified prior to each class.

Whether you have a dog who can’t get enough of water or a dog who isn’t too sure about it, this class can be for you! Using positive reinforcement methods, this class will cover many topics including how to create a love for water, how to shape a retrieval, how to throw for your dog, how to get more distance, and when and how to compete. You will also gain skills to practice outside of the pool, too! Humans must bring clothes and shoes that can get wet, toys that float, a flat collar or harness, a 6 foot leash, and a treat bag with treats of varying values.

If you’ve wanted to try dog sports but weren’t sure which you and your dog would like best, this is the class to choose. This 4 week class includes one week of agility, one week of disc, one week of rally obedience, and one week of tricks, all using positive reinforcement methods. You will get an overview of each sport and learn the basic foundations to create a dog who can excel in it. No worries if your dog has done one or more before—let Isabella know and she can alter the exercises to suit your experience level. Humans must bring a 6 foot leash, flat collar or harness, lots of treats, and other reinforcers. No toys that make sound, please.

Are you wanting to advance your dog’s obedience? Rally obedience is a great way to bring joy to your dog’s obedience, increase engagement, and bond with your dog. This class is mixed level, so whether you’re brand new to the world of dog sports or have been training for years, you’ll be advancing your skills and understanding of the sport. This class will cover introduction to the signs, increasing engagement, dealing with distractions, preparing your dog to trial, and many other topics all using positive reinforcement methods. Humans must bring a flat collar, 6 foot leash, lots of treats, toys that don’t make sound, and any other motivators.
